Ted

 

Ted is an organization that seeks out smart people doing cutting edge things in a variety of feilds and uploads footage of their confrences to their website.

The purpose of thir website is to inform the veiwer in a variety of feilds. The site is set up with a variety of video thumbnails that enlarge when the mouse goes over it. This allows the veiwer to quickly look through many videos.

 

(The biggest thumbnail had the mouse on it. Look at the diffrence between the first and second picture.)

Technology, Entertainment, and Science. These feilds employ engineers. Buisness, Design, and Global issues dont  require engineers as often.

I looked at 3 videos.

           Seth Priebatsch: The game layer on top of the world.

I picked: Adam Grosser:  His sustainable fridge.

          

  

The fridge works on heating a liquid to preasureize it and when it condenses it radiates coolth.

The man who made this is an great engineer. To be on his level one would probaly need extensive collage training. He is educated in thermodynamics whic is a college level engineering corse.
