Challenger Disaster

What
Cold temprature caused to O rings to contract. There was a fuel leakage that caused the shuttle to explode. NASA took a big hit with the press and they were losing popularity. They nearly lost government funding and thus the program. This is not the only event of a shuttle crashing.

Team Building

Today we had a team building activity. We had to teams. We had tennis balls and every one had to touch it once. We modifyed the constraints later so that only one could touch the ball at a time. One time we had to close our eyes. My team created a spiral with our hands and let the ball run down them for both rounds. It was fun to talk around ideas with my class mates.

Summary:
Everyone had to touch ball once.
Only one person could touch the bal at a time.

Stuck on a dingy.

In todays activity we were split into teams and had to prioritize a list of 15 items that we would want if we were stranded on a dinngy. We are thousands of miles from land and and have no way to move the dingy. We later prepared our ratings to that of the Coast Guard. We were shocked on how off we are. We only got 2 items right and they were the two most useless ones. However my team and I came up with some interesting uses for some of the items. I am happy this was not for real because we would not have done very well.

Summary
We were stuck in a boat.
We had limited equipment.
We had to stay alive and be rescued.
We had no way to move the raft.

Team Building Activity

We had a group of people and we all had to touch a tennis ball. Only one person could touch the ball at a time. My groups strategeys was to create a spiral that the ball traveled down.

Today we had a activity about what we should take on a raft if we were stuck in the oceaen. My team had some good ideas that i would not of thought of. If this was real then they would have made a good difference.
