A pen is mainly composed of a line. This is the main incorporation of design elements. Also, its a shape.
The pen is perfect. It slides across the page and allows you to out write a pencil. It is retacable and its fits more comfortable in the hand. It never requires sharpening or more led like mechaninical pencils and one pen can last a person months. It is used by everyone. Most legal documents require that it is sighned in pen.
Ted is an organization that seeks out smart people doing cutting edge things in a variety of feilds and uploads footage of their confrences to their website.
The purpose of thir website is to inform the veiwer in a variety of feilds. The site is set up with a variety of video thumbnails that enlarge when the mouse goes over it. This allows the veiwer to quickly look through many videos.
(The biggest thumbnail had the mouse on it. Look at the diffrence between the first and second picture.)
Technology, Entertainment, and Science. These feilds employ engineers. Buisness, Design, and Global issues dont require engineers as often.

How dose business incoparate games into products ?
Businesses use points to encourage people to buy their product. A perfict ex. is my coke rewards. People buy coke and then log points. People use these points to get free stuff.
How do businesss benifit?
Say you have had coke 4 days this week. You are sick of coke but their is a special that states that if you have 5 cokes in a week you will get double points. Most peopl will buy the extra coke causing profits to go up. Also it makes coke more popular than Pepsi.
How will this affect the future?
Their will be moore of a point reward system. Like tax credits for taking the bus.
